Child Care Provider Sanity Poem

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my sanity may I keep.
For if some peace I do not find,
I'm pretty sure I'll lose my mind.

I pray I find a little quiet,
Far from the daily daycare riot,
May I lie back--not have to think,
about what they're stuffing down the sink,
or who they're with, or where they're at,
and what they're doing to the cat.

I pray for time all to myself,
(did something just fall off a shelf?)
To cuddle in my nice, soft bed,
(Oh no, another goldfish--dead!)

Some silent moments for goodness sake,
(Did I just hear a window break?)
And that I need not cook or clean,
(well heck, I've got the right to dream).

Yes now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my wits about me keep,
But as I look around I know,
I must have lost them long ago!

Great Start to Readiness Program 4-5 Year Old Preschool Class

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded preschool for four-year-old children. Families qualify when factors exist in their lives that may place a child at educational risk.

Wayne RESA receives an annual grant and administers the program in Wayne County. Our staff are responsible for ensuring the 105 school districts, public school academies, and community based childcare centers meet the following:

  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and integrity with every dollar they receive

  • Hire early childhood degreed staff meeting the credentialing requirements of the grant

  • Provide professional learning experiences tied to the approved curriculum

  • Support teaching teams as they design daily instruction addressing each child’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs.

Research on GSRP enrolled children provided with high-quality experiences documented significant positive developmental differences when compared to children from the same backgrounds who did not attend a high-quality preschool program.

Qualifying children must be 4 years old before September 1st and 5 years old before December 1st.   Our Program has 28 slots available annually for our GSRP Program.

Transitional Kindergarten Class

Our staff here at CircleTime with Friends Learning Center GSRP Program work diligently with  neighboring elementary schools to assure that the kindergarten transition is as smooth as possible. Our kindergarten round-up will be conducted by zoom this year.  CircleTime will be joining  Westfield Charter Academy (National Heritage School) to simplify your kindergarten needs.  Other local school will be added to our roster as the school year ends.
